Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
- Arrive in Paro and drive to Thimphu. Begin with visits to the Great Buddha Dordenma and Tashichho Dzong, setting the stage for your cultural journey.
Day 2: Thimphu Tshechu Festival - Day 1
- Witness the first day of the Thimphu Tshechu. Experience traditional mask dances and cultural performances, surrounded by locals in vibrant attire.
Day 3: Thimphu Tshechu Festival - Day 2
- Continue your immersion in the Thimphu Tshechu. Enjoy more spectacular dances and rituals, and take part in the festive atmosphere at the Thimphu Dzong courtyard.
Day 4: Thimphu Exploration & Festival - Day 3
- Spend the morning exploring Thimphu’s key sites, including the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Memorial Chorten. In the afternoon, return to the festival for its final day.
Day 5: Excursion to Punakha
- Drive to Punakha, visiting the Dochula Pass along the way. Explore the Punakha Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Punakha Valley.
Day 6: Return to Paro
- Head back to Paro, stopping at scenic viewpoints. Upon arrival, visit the Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum to deepen your understanding of Bhutanese culture.
Day 7: Paro & Departure
- On your last day, hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Afterward, return to Paro for some leisure time before your departure.
