Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
- Arrive in Paro and drive to Thimphu. Visit the National Memorial Chorten and the Folk Heritage Museum to kickstart your cultural journey.
Day 2: Thimphu Exploration
- Discover Thimphu’s rich heritage with visits to Tashichho Dzong, the Great Buddha Dordenma, and local markets.
Day 3: Druk Wangyal Tshechu Festival - Day 1
- Head to the Dochula Pass for the Druk Wangyal Tshechu. Witness the majestic performances against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas.
Day 4: Druk Wangyal Tshechu Festival - Day 2
- Continue enjoying the festival’s unique dances and songs. Explore the 108 chortens at Dochula, representing peace and happiness.
Day 5: Drive to Punakha
- Travel to Punakha, visiting the Dochula Pass and the Punakha Dzong, known for its architectural beauty and historical significance.
Day 6: Explore Punakha Valley
- Visit the Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple. Enjoy a serene walk through the lush rice fields of the Punakha Valley.
Day 7: Return to Paro
- Drive back to Paro. Visit the Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, enriching your understanding of Bhutanese culture.
Day 8: Paro & Departure
- Hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Enjoy some leisure time in Paro before your departure.
